About
From Lima, Peru, to the world
I take pictures wherever I go, it is kind of what comforts me in times of angst. Mainly, I take pictures with film cameras, 35 mm is usually what I go for. I have a collection of cameras that I use all of the time. Some I take to photograph my friends in social settings, and some I use to just capture whatever catches my eye.
Having a camera in hand makes me feel safe, as if I can do anything. I think i’m good at taking pictures, so it comforts me that I can do it whenever I want. I love to capture just about anything, I love travelling and observing new landscapes that fit perfectly into an aesthetically pleasing frame. However people do inspire most of my photography. I find them to be my most interesting subjects. I take pictures of my friends and family, mostly because I know what they are like, and to me they are incredibly interesting subjects. I like to hold a kind of 4th wall-esque stance when taking pictures. This means that I enjoy watching my subjects act without stylizing their poses.
